Silence and Light

January 13th, 2008 by Maria Spencer

Silence and LightThis is another painting that’s on display at the Fairview Museum. It’s one of my most recent Prisma Color paintings. I did it because I love to imagine what life might be like for the animals of the forests. Their world must be so quiet all the time, so very silent. Their lives are an ongoing struggle for survival and yet they are at all times surrounded by breathtaking beauty. Are they concious of this beauty? Are they aware of the magnificence of creation? Do they ever stop to glance about them and gather these visions the way that humans do?

I like to think that they do.
