Okay, I just had the most amazing experience. I was sneaking around outside trying to take pictures of the birds that come into our yard all the time to feed from the birdfeeder. I was doing great, sneaking closer and closer. They were really starting to get used to me and let me get some great pictures when all of a sudden this gorgeous bird of prey swoops down and scares them all away! It’s wings were so loud, almost like the sound of  a blanket shaking in the wind. It just swooped right past me and through the little flock of birds then took off into the sky. I was able to get a couple of shots of it as it soared away but nothing very good or clear. It was just so great to be there and be surrounded by nature as it did it’s thing, you know? I don’t know what kind of bird it was. It wasn’t all that big but it wasn’t small either. I’ll post some photos as soon as I get them ready so you can see what it looked like. I’ll also post some pics of the cute little bird I was photographing.
